Helping Foster and Unhoused Youth Excel

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to match tutors with foster care and unhoused youth to give them the educational support they need to stay in school, improve academic performance, and achieve greater success later in life.

Our vision is for all vulnerable children to have the support they need to excel in school.

What We Do

Learning Bridge screens and trains community volunteers to tutor foster care and unhoused youth. Volunteers do not have to be educators – just committed adults who will show up each week for a student. Tutors assist students with homework or work with students on subjects that are challenging to them. The program serves students in K-12th grade in Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop, and Bell counties of Texas and is free to foster, kinship, and unhoused youth.
